Kids 10 years under, 65 and over, newcomers free at ‘Pinoy Fiesta’

Toronto, Ontario — Kids 10 years and below, seniors 65 and over, as well as newcomers to Canada who came in 2016 until recently will be given free admission upon presentation of proof at the “Pinoy Fiesta & Trade Show sa Toronto“, Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre here.

The Community, Seniors & Liaison Committee of the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) said during an interview with Front Page Philippines TV that the PCCF executive committee is doing this to help ease the burden on admission cost for families wishing to join in the celebration of Filipino culture, heritage and sports at the biggest annual summer indoor event.

Rosemer Enverga — Executive Vice President of the PCCF, said city officials, led by Toronto Mayor John Tory, are attending the event to celebrate Filipino Heritage Month.

This is the first year that June is celebrated officially as Filipino Heritage Month in Toronto as passed by the City Council in November 2017 from a motion brought forward by Councillor Neethan Shan.

Rosemer is the widow of Filipino Canadian Senator Tobias Enverga, Jr. — who shortly, before his death, made representation with all levels of government in Canada for the declaration of June as Filipino Heritage Month.

While the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) 2018 participants in its “Little Miss Philippines Canada“, “Miss Philippines Canada” and “Mrs. Philippines Canada” pageants have been seen by those present during their respective pre-pageant events in Toronto recently, this weekend, a far greater number of people will see them as they appear on Front Page Philippines TV with program host Gie Alvarez.

Also in this episode, the reigning title holders to the PCCF pageants, Marianne Barcarse for “Little Miss …”, Jenna Ramos for “Miss Teen …” and Laila Elcano for “Mrs. Philippines …” share with televiewers the many experiences they have had as winners of their respective pageant.

The PCCF has announced that this year’s winner in each of the pageants will receive a FREE TRIP to the Philippines, appearances on a GMA Pinoy TV show, a unique opportunity to meet with the PCCF’s beneficiaries, such as ANCOP and provide donations directly to the other beneficiaries of PCCF. Locally, winners will get to meet influential community leaders, appear and perform in multicultural events and more! Most importantly, the winners will serve as PCCF’s Ambassadors of Goodwill at various events and activities throughout Canada and the Philippines. It will be a chance for them to promote Filipino culture and help others, while having fun!

Toronto, Ontario — Two top-rated artists from GMA “Kapuso” TV Network in the Philippines are the headliners in this year’s “Pinoy Fiesta and Trade Show sa Toronto”, Saturday, June 24, 2017, namely, Jennylyn Mercado and comedian Boobay.

Jennylyn Mercado is described as ” ‘The Ultimate Star’, resonant of her acting versatility, multi-awarded track record and endorsement credibility, among others.”

Jennylyn emerged as the ultimate female survivor of the first season of the reality artista search, “StarStruck”, alongside ultimate male survivor, Mark Herras — who himself was, in the past, among the headliners in Toronto’s biggest indoor summer festival, an event which guarantees everyone that rain or shine on the appointed date of the festival, everyone is guaranteed to enjoy the price that one contributed to the annual fundraiser event — be one is a visitor or event sponsor!

Jennylyn will be starring in the upcoming Filipino remake of the hit Koreanovela, “My Love from the Star”, along with Gil Cuerva. “My Love from the Star” premieres this month on GMA Pinoy TV.
