Front Page Philippines is a magazine-style program with a community perspective affecting Filipino Canadians.

Airing in English and Filipino, the program offers news and current affairs, together with information on culture and entertainment.

 

September 21, 2010 marked Front Page Philippines 8th season on air.

 

Hosted by veteran broadcaster Gie Alvarez, Front Page Philippines airs on OMNI.2 (CJMT) Television in Ontario and is produced for Russell (Integrated Media) Internationalby print and broadcast writer and journalist Ace Alvarez.   

 

Front Page Philippines — through OMNI.2 Television, is also available ACROSS CANADA to Starchoice satellite tv subscribers on channel 395, and to ExpressVu subscribers on channel 216. Subscribers to Rogers Digital Cable can access OMNI.2 on channel 509.

 

In Ontario communities being served by Toronto’s Rogers OMNI 2 Television (CJMT-Toronto) and its re-transmission, Front Page Philippines airs at prime 10 PM tv time every Sunday, with alternative viewing on Thursdays at 4 PM.

 

ROGERS OMNI.2 TELEVISION in Southern Ontario is on the following cable channels:

      Rogers Cable (serving Toronto)- Cable 14;

      Aurora Cable (serving Aurora)- Cable 23;

      COGECO (serving Oakville/ Burlington)- Cable 29;

      In Hamilton- and in households being served by COGECO, including

            Fergus, Georgetown and Grimsby, OMNI .2 TV is on Cable 18;  

      In Hamilton, and in households being served by Mountain Cable, 

            OMNI.2 is on Cable 20;      

      In the Niagara and the St. Catherines area, OMNI.2 is on

           (COGECO) Cable 15; 

      In Peterborough on COGECO, Channel 19; 

      In Ottawa, OMNI.2 TV is on Rogers, Cable 14;

      In London, Ontario, OMNI.2 is, likewise, on Rogers 14;

      In the St. Thomas, Strathroy area- on Rogers, Cable 14;

      In Tillsonburg and Woodstock, OMNI.2 TV is on Rogers, Cable 14;

      In the Georgian Bay area, including Collingwood, Midland and

           Owen Sound, OMNI.2 TV is on Rogers 14.

 

OMNI.2 could be accessed over-the-air on Channel 69 by close to one million viewers who rely on antenna systems.
